Dr Carrau is also the Director of the Comprehensive Skullbase Surgery Program, Co-Director of the research and education laboratory ALT-VISION and Medical Director of The OSUMC Global Health . Author of over 600 publications (450+ peer-reviewed), he has co-authored/co-edited the books Operative Otolaryngology, Comprehensive Management of Swallowing Disorders, Clinical Manual of Swallowing Disorders, Clinical Management of Swallowing Disorders, Atlas de Cirugía Endoscopicay Base de Craneo (Asociación Colombiana de ORL-CCC, Maxilofacialy Estética Facial), and Dissection Laboratory Manual for Endoscopic Skullbase Surgery.
Dr. Carrau is a recognized world expert in Skullbase surgery and a pioneer in Endoscopic Skullbase surgery.
Dr Daniel M Prevedello
Professor at the Department of Neurological Surgery, The Ohio State University, United States.
Dr Prevedello is the Director of the Comprehensive Skull Base Center at The James, Director of the Pituitary Surgery Program, Co-Director of the Skullbase Fellowship Program, and the Co-Director of the Anatomy Laboratory towards Visuospatial Surgical Innovation in Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery.
Dr. Prevedello earned his medical degree at Universidade Federal do Parana in Parana, Brazil and did his residency in neurological surgery at Hospital Nossa Senhora das Graças, also in Parana. He then completed a fellowship in Pituitary surgery, Neuroendocrinology and Epilepsy at the University of Virginia and a fellowship in Skullbase and cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He has been at Ohio State since 2010.
