It's electric - boogie woogie! Recently, our supply chain team in Arkansas received a new pure electric terminal tractor and they couldn't be more excited to put it to good use. Our Mountain Home facility moves a high volume of materials to support many other Baxter facilities across the globe. In fact, the team moves nearly 500,000 pounds of materials every day. Thanks to a partnership with the Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality, the team is now shuttling this freight around the yard with no CO2 emissions. Our thanks goes to the entire Mountain Home team for finding a new way to make our operations more sustainable.

Our teammates in the Syracuse, New York area gathered with family members to support American Heart Association’s annual Syracuse Heart Walk. The Baxter team raised funds to provide vital support for the organization’s programming, outreach, and research into heart disease, stroke and hypertension. Alisa Salibra, who helped organize the Baxter team, has a special connection to heart health. “This event holds an important place in my heart as my dad is living with AFib (atrial fibrillation) and my grandmother suffered a stroke a number of years ago. Both have been an amazing influence and inspiration in my life. I am proud to help support this organization’s efforts, which not only align directly with Baxter’s Mission to Save and Sustain Lives but are directly connected to our Front Line Care products that help diagnose and manage these conditions.”
